On September 14, Akylai Muktarbek kyzy, Assistant Professor at the Economics Program, Researcher at the CED, has participated in international conference “Monetary Policy in Developing Countries: Modern Trends” with her working paper on gender aspects of savings behavior in the Kyrgyz Republic. Conference was organized by the American University of Central Asia together with the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support from the USAID “Building the Future” project. The conference will be held on September 14, 2017 from 9 am to 5 pm at AUCA, A.Tokombaeva 7/6, CH 1 Hall, 4th floor.
The conference was an excellent opportunity for face-to-face meetings and discussions on the topical issues of developing and implementing monetary policies by central/national banks in the region. Representatives of government, non-governmental, and international organizations, expert and academic institutions from Europe, Central Asia and Russia participated.
